Overview

Milo is designed to help you track habits without advertising or third-party tracking. Milo does not sell your data and does not use your data for cross-app tracking.

Data stored in Milo

Milo stores the information you choose to enter, including habit names, schedules, reminder times, completions, achievements, journal entries, optional journal media, display preferences, onboarding choices, and backup files you export or import.

iCloud sync

When iCloud is available, Milo can sync habit data through Apple CloudKit using your private iCloud account. This helps keep your Milo data available on your Apple devices. iCloud data is handled by Apple under your iCloud settings.

Notifications

Milo schedules local reminder notifications from the habit times you choose. You can change notification permission in iOS Settings and manage habit reminders inside Milo.

Photos and videos

If you attach photos or videos to journal entries, Milo stores local copies for those entries. Milo does not upload media to a separate analytics or advertising service.

Sign in with Apple

Milo can use Sign in with Apple for account state on your device. Milo stores the Apple user identifier locally so it can tell whether you are signed in.

Export, import, and delete

You can export a JSON backup from Settings. You can also delete your Milo account and local data from Settings, which removes local habits, completions, achievements, journal entries, local journal media, and reminders on this device. If iCloud sync is active, deletions may sync to other devices using the same iCloud account.
